The Kroger Grocery Warehouse is a four-story brick building with a heavy timber interior. Located in the historic west Madison rail corridor, the building originally housed a series of grocery distributors, including the Kroger Company starting in the 1930s.
The renovated Kroger building is now home to advanced software and web developers, environmental advocates, financial service firms, and information technology teams from the University of Wisconsin.
The Kroger building is on the Southwest Bike Path, with easy access to the University and central Madison neighborhoods. The shared outdoor patio with picnic tables is an inviting space for breaks or outdoor meetings.
