The Sunkist Building was built in 1929 for the Heilprin Produce Company at a cost of about $100,000. The Heilprin family borrowed the money from Central Wisconsin Trust in May, 1930 and the declining economic conditions drove the building into foreclosure by September, 1937.
Delta Properties purchased the building in 1989 and continued to operate the public warehouse business with the long term goal of careful renovation of the buildings to modern commercial uses.
The adaptive re-use of the building to office space was begun in 1996 and currently Delta Properties, Shine Advertising, Pemba Serves, State Environmental Leadership Program, Stiennon & Stiennon, Community Shares of Wisconsin, Pizzeria Uno Administration, and Level 3 Communications occupy the fully renovated building.
